Jiang Xichu served as Chen Man’s secretary for many years, attending to her every need. Workplace disagreements were common, and one day, after a heated argument with Chen Man, Jiang Xichu left the company. Tragically, she was fatally stabbed by a vengeful neurotic shortly after exiting the building.

Shortly after her demise, Jiang Xichu received unsettling news from the underworld’s officials. It was revealed that not only did Chen Man feel no remorse for her passing, but she also had unlawfully withheld Jiang Xichu’s rightful salary. Moreover, her funeral was conducted hastily, denying her colleagues the chance to pay their respects. Fueled by anger, Jiang Xichu returned to the human realm with a vengeful resolve, intent on terrifying the callous Chen Man to her core.

Upon reaching Chen Man’s bedroom, Jiang Xichu beheld a disheveled figure clutching her urn, gazing solemnly at images from her past.

A year later, Chen Man also died, her cause of death: su*cide due to severe depression.

Departing Chen Man’s abode, Jiang Xichu’s emotions were tangled. She felt compelled to return to the underworld, seeking answers from Chen Man herself.

However, after stepping out of the house, Jiang Xichu found herself reborn.

Encountering General Manager Chen once more, whose mere words had the power to leave her breathless, Jiang Xichu: …

You sly woman, you are really adept at playing two-face.

The narrative was gentle and heartwarming, yet it left me with an unsatisfying sense of incompleteness. While many others appreciated the comedic elements, I believe it didn't quite hit its mark. Despite the lack of overt drama, the overall tone felt heavy and emotional. As a fan of engaging Yuri web novels, I was delighted to discover this story, but upon completion, I felt like I was missing a crucial piece. To avoid spoilers, I'd classify it more as a romantic drama. It revolves around two friends whose platonic bond is suddenly tested by pain and loss. When they are given a chance to prevent these events, they come together. Initially, I enjoyed the first chapters, expecting a lighthearted read, which is why I chose it. However, the story didn't live up to my initial expectations, though I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would give it a 5-star rating, but the ending failed to deliver the impact it should have, given such an intriguing beginning.

It's a delightful short read. The chemistry between the couple is charming, even before their life-changing incident. Secretary Jiang's affection is evident in her frequent scolding of Chen Man, which adds a touch of humor as Jiang Xichu struggles to maintain harmony between them. The story is light and heartwarming, perfect for beginners to the genre.

This would make an excellent recommendation for those dipping their toes into Baihe novels. There's not much drama or convoluted plots; it's simply a beautiful tale of two people falling in love. The pacing might have been a bit rushed, and an extra chapter could have resolved some loose ends, but the conclusion satisfactorily wraps up their journey.

This book was an adorable and relatively lighthearted read, perfect for passing the time during quarantine. Although the ending felt slightly rushed after they became a couple, it didn't spoil my enjoyment and I wholeheartedly recommend it! The humor and sweetness in the Chinese version had me grinning from ear to ear.

I experienced a range of emotions, shedding tears and grinning. This story evokes strong feelings, perfect for fans of GL (Gritty Love). It's mild, light-hearted, with a touch of drama - more than I anticipated. Fortunately, it concludes on a heartwarming note, ensuring a satisfying resolution. I genuinely had a good time reading it.

"It's likely one of the most delightful shoujo-ai novels I've come across. The plot isn't overly complex, brimming with heartfelt emotions, and the characters are engaging. The storyline itself is captivating, although the supernatural aspect might be a bit too fantastical for some. In summary, if you're a fan of girls' love stories, this book is a charming and brief treat."

As someone who isn't particularly inclined towards emotional stories, this narrative has its fair share of heartfelt moments, but it also delivers the humorous aspects common in romantic comedies, which I found enjoyable. The story's笑点, in my opinion, peak during the lead-up to their relationship. There's character growth and a significant challenge – overcoming the emotional scars from the tragedy – that keeps things engaging.

However, after they become a couple, the story loses some of its initial shine. Personally, I didn't find the ending as satisfying. It seemed to me that the climax of their relationship would've been a more appropriate stopping point.

If your primary interest is in the comedic elements, as mine is, the story remains entertaining up until that point. Given the time invested, it's worth reading through to the end. The writing and translation are commendable, adding an extra layer of appreciation.

There are only a select few high-quality Yuri novels, and this particular one stands out. I thoroughly enjoyed it; it combined lightheartedness with deep emotions. Although I felt the pacing could have been slightly slower, overall, I believe it was an excellent read.

A delightful and touching read! The portrayal of unrequited and reciprocated love is executed beautifully. The main character and her love interest are portrayed realistically, and I particularly enjoy their dynamic and connection. My only minor issue is the abruptness of the ending; while it neatly concludes the story, it gives the impression that the author rushed through that particular chapter. Despite my desire for a bit more depth, I am content with their relationship by the book's conclusion and look forward to revisiting it in the future.

Regarding the MC's transformation to fit in with the FL, I commend the way she maintains her authenticity, learning only to control her temper - a valuable lesson for any relationship. Her love for the FL is genuine, not out of obligation, which adds depth to their bond.

Additionally, a well-deserved 5 stars to the translator for their work.
